Terror in California: Terrorist shoots dozens, throws smoke grenades onto dancefloor at country music bar
A terrorist has opened fire at a bar in the city of Thousand Oaks, California, murdering 12 people.
Witnesses said there were ‘dozens’ of victims including a police officer after the shooter stormed in armed with guns and smoke grenades.
Among the victims was a deputy sheriff, a doorman, a cashier and revelers.
A Ventura County Sheriff’s Office official said several hundred people were inside the venue at the time and approximately 30 shots had been fired inside the building.
People are said to be hiding from the shooter in bathrooms and attic spaces, while others who managed to escape fled to nearby gas stations for medical help.
Conflicting reports on whether the terrorist killed himself or was shot and eliminated by Police inside the bar.
