Swedish media under fire for playing down Scandinavian tourists’ execution by Muslim terrorists in Morocco
Swedish national broadcaster SVT has come under fire for its coverage of the double execution of Louisa Vesterager Jespersen (24) and Maren Ueland (28) by Muslim terrorists in Morocco.
Viewers complained that the state broadcaster was more concerned by the video of the execution being spread than the brutal murders themselves.
While one of the victims was decapitated alive in the style of ISIS executions, SVT didn’t mention the beheading at all, instead merely reporting about “neck wounds”.
Angry viewers quickly took to social media to denounce a case of fake news being overly concerned with political correctness.
“The murders in Morocco and the PC media: first, the fake media attempts to hush up the brutal execution in Morocco. When the people start sharing pictures of what happened, those who do so are threatened with several years’ imprisonment”, former Sweden Democrat leader Anders Klarström tweeted.
One Twitter user wrote that at first, he thought the use of the phrase “knife damage” instead of ‘beheaded’ or ‘decapitated’ was just some kind of unfortunate formulation of words until he realized the channel had repeated the phrase more than once.
Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, 24, from Denmark, and her university pal Maren Ueland, 28, of Norway were found murdered near the village of Imlil in Morocco’s High Atlas mountains last Monday.
ISIS has not claimed responsibility for the terror attack, but 4 Muslim terrorists who had pledged allegiance to the terror group last week are now arrested for the murder of Jespersen and Ueland.
Previously recorded footage, which was authenticated by investigators, shows the Muslim terrorists pledging allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, further confirming that the murders were an act of terrorism.
Another 9 Muslim terrorists were arrested last week by Moroccan authorities, and 6 more terrorists were arrested the past few days.
The last arrests bring the total to 19 Muslim terrorists now in custody over the murders of Louisa and Maren.
Gruesome footage and hundreds of horrific images of the two Scandinavian backpackers have reportedly been sent to one of the victims’ mothers.
The clip is so brutal that many people who have watched it admit to having a deep impact and regret having ever played it.
