Stabbing attack at Qalandiya checkpoint – One Israeli injured, Arab terrorist eliminated
A 24-year-old Israeli suffered moderate-to-serious injuries on Friday evening in a terrorist stabbing attack at the Qalandiya checkpoint near Jerusalem.
The injured was treated at the scene before being taken to Hadassah University Medical Center, in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem.
An initial investigation of the incident indicates that the terrorist arrived to the checkpoint and ran on foot through the vehicle passageway. He proceeded to stab a soldier who was there, and was then shot by other security personnel at the scene.
The checkpoint closed down following the terror attack. Violent Arab riots have then broken out at the site, with about 200 Arab terrorists throwing stones at security forces, who used riot dispersal means in order to quell the terrorists.
