Senior al-Qaeda terrorist behind 2000 USS Cole bombing eliminated in drone strike

BREAKING: Arabs report that Muslim terrorist Jamal al-Badawi, a senior al-Qaeda commander, was eliminated by a US drone strike in al-Bayda province in Yemen.

Al-Badawi, one of the most wanted terrorists on the US terror hit list, was believed to have been hiding in central Yemen for years before he was eliminated by the U.S. military on Friday.

He was the mastermind behind USS Cole terrorist bombing in which 17 Americans were murdered and 39 others were injured in Yemen’s Aden harbor, on October 12, 2000.

The victims ranged in age from 19 to 35. They were men and women from across the United States, serving on a U.S. destroyer that had pulled into Aden port to refuel.

The attack was carried out by al-Qaeda terrorists and ripped a 40-foot by 60-foot hole in the ship’s hull.

The Cole eventually was taken home and turned into a floating — and yet operational — memorial.
