Satellite images show damage at Iranian weapons warehouse after Israeli airstrikes in Syria
ImageSat released satellite images of an Iranian weapons warehouse destroyed in Syria, which correspond with the location of the Israeli airstrikes reported on Friday.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed responsibility for Friday’s airstrikes in Syria, saying that the Israel Air Force struck Iranian targets in Syria over the weekend, following Syrian reports of successful interceptions over Damascus.
Netanyahu also said that the IAF has hit “hundreds” of targets belonging to Iran and its proxy Hezbollah in Syria.
Iran denied on Monday the claims made by Netanyahu and dismissed reports of its military presence and weapons in the region.
“Israel’s claims are baseless and false… it’s only an attempt by the Zionists to conceal their ongoing failures in the region,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi.
