Rockets fired by Muslim terrorists from Gaza at civilians in southern Israel

BREAKING: A barrage of rockets was fired by Muslim terrorists in Gaza towards the city of Sderot in southern Israel.

Local residents report two explosions heard over Sderot.

Sirens sounded in Nir Am, Sderot, Ibim, Gavim, Sapir College, Erez and Nir Am Shooting Range.

According to initial reports, three rockets were fired from Gaza towards southern Israel. One of the rockets was intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system.

Shrapnel from the Iron Dome’s Tamir interceptor missiles hit a building in Sderot.

Two people arrived at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon following the rocket attack. One of the victims suffered from shock and the other was lightly injured while running for shelter.

“2 rockets were just fired from Gaza at Israeli civilians. 1 rocket was intercepted by the Iron Dome Aerial Defense System”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.

CCTV footage shows the Iron Dome interception. One of the rockets was intercepted, one rocket landed in an open area and a third rocket fell short and exploded inside Gaza.

“If someone in Gaza thinks he can attack us after Operation ‘Black Belt’ then he is making a serious mistake. We’ll respond fiercely to any attack and will keep safeguarding Israel’s security on all fronts”, PM Netanyahu said following the rocket attack.

Yesterday, after nine days of calm, Muslim terrorists fired a rocket from Gaza at Israel.

The latest escalation with Gaza began two weeks ago when an Israeli strike eliminated a top Islamic Jihad terrorist, Baha Abu al-Ata and brought a wave of rocket fire into Israel in response.
