PM Netanyahu: I call upon all nations to support the US in its efforts against Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday called on the international community to support the United States against Iran as tensions between the two countries escalated after the downing of a U.S. drone by Iran.

“In the last 24 hours, Iran has intensified its aggression against the United States and against all of us. I repeat my call for all peace-loving countries to stand by the United States in its effort to stop Iranians’ aggression, Netanyahu said in a video statement.

“Israel stands by the United States on this one,” he said.

“Iran made a very big mistake!” President Donald Trump tweeted mid-morning as he and his national security officials huddled to weigh possible responses following the drone attack.
President Trump told reporters that Iran may not have intentionally downed the drone. He said the public will “find out” about whether the US intends to retaliate with a military strike.

The attack came two days after the US military announced that will send an additional 1,000 troops to the Middle East, the British Royal Navy announced that will deploy 100 Marines, and tensions between the US and Iran continue to escalate.

Yesterday, a rocket launched by Iranian-backed terrorists hit the site of several global major oil companies, including US giant ExxonMobil, near Iraq’s southern city of Basra early, wounding three Iraqi workers.
