No Doubt: Iran behind Paris bomb plot thwarted by Mossad – France freezes Iranian intelligence funds
French intelligence concluded that Iran’s intelligence ministry, which is controlled by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ordered a foiled terror attack on an exiled Iranian opposition group’s rally near Paris in June, a French diplomatic source said.
“Behind all this was a long, meticulous and detailed investigation by our (intelligence) services that enabled us to reach the conclusion, without any doubt, that responsibility fell on the intelligence ministry,” the source said.
The source added that deputy minister and director general of intelligence Saeid Hashemi Moghadam had ordered the terror attack.
In June, Israel’s Mossad spy agency gave authorities in France, Germany and Belgium crucial intelligence and led a hunt that crossed several European borders, prevented the bombing and led to arrests of the terror cell headed by Moghadam.
The cell also consisted of a Belgian married couple of Iranian origin.
France seized the financial assets of two Iranian individuals as well as some belonging to Iran’s intelligence services, according to the government journal published on Tuesday.
Also Tuesday, French elite police raided a Shia Muslim terror-club, as well as the homes of members of the terrorist association, in a swoop that the local government prefect’s office said was prompted by serious suspicions of terrorist activities.
The operation involving some two hundred police officers targeted a club known as Center Zahra France and 12 of its Muslim members in Grande Synthe, near Dunkirk and not far from Calais on France’s northern coast.
The terrorist organization is headed by Yahia Gouasmi, who is known for his anti-Semitic agenda and links to Iran and Hezbollah.
“Here’s my message to the European leaders: Stop funding the very regime that is sponsoring terrorism against you and against so many others. Stop appeasing Iran”, PM Netanyahu said last July.
