Netherlands cuts all aid to Palestinian Authority over 'Pay to Slay' payments to terrorists

The Dutch parliament voted Wednesday to halt all aid to the Palestinian Authority due to its payments to convicted Muslim terrorists jailed in Israel and their families, as well as the families of terrorists eliminated during terror attacks.

The decision came after talks with the PA on the issue “did not lead to the desired outcome.”

The PA paid over NIS 4 billion over the past four years, with NIS 1.2 billion being paid in the last year alone for the families of terrorists eliminated during terror attacks and about $160 million to convicted terrorists in Israeli jails.

In 2018, Israel passed a law to deduct ‘Pay to Slay’ terrorists’ salaries from the Palestinian Authority. The law says that welfare payments paid out by the PA to fund terrorism must be deducted from tax revenues Israel transfers annually to the administrative body.
