Muslim terrorist eliminated during counter-terrorism operation south of Jerusalem
The Palestinian Authority health ministry and official media claimed Wednesday morning that a Muslim terrorist was eliminated and three more wounded during violent riots in Bethlehem, south of Jerusalem.
In addition, an IDF jeep was ambushed by firebomb-throwing terrorists at the Beit-El checkpoint, north of Ramallah. No injuries reported.
According to Arab reports, 17-year-old paramedic-terrorist Sajid Abdul Hakim Mezher was shot, critically wounded by IDF fire, and later died of his wounds.
Violent riots broke out in the Dheisheh neighborhood of Bethlehem during a series of raids to arrest wanted terrorists, with Muslim terrorists throwing firebombs, rocks and explosive devices at the IDF troops operating in the area.
The IDF force responded with crowd-dispersal means and live shooting at main instigators.
There were no casualties among the security forces.
The IDF arrested 11 Muslim terrorists overnight in Judea and Samaria, who were wanted for involvement in terrorism and violent disorders directed against civilians and security personnel.
The terrorists were turned over to security agencies for further investigation.
