Muslim rioters broke into Mercy Gate, raise terror flag on Temple Mount
Muslim rioters on Friday tore down the doors and broke into the Mercy Gate, a large structure on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount that was closed several years ago based on a court order because the group running the area was found to have ties to Hamas.
It has been kept closed to stop illegal construction work by the Waqf.
The doors were torn down despite the stance of the Temple Mount’s custodian, the Waqf, and in defiance of the request by the Sheikh leading the Friday prayers in the Jewish holy site, who urged for civility following the Muslim prayers.
In addition, Muslim terror fans climbed on top Mercy Gate building after the prayers and raised terror flags, which were removed by the Israel police.
Over the past week, Muslims used children to open the locks in order to avoid arrest.
Last week, a firebomb was thrown by Muslim terrorists towards Israeli Police officers stationed on the Temple Mount, causing a blaze to break out at the Jewish holy site.
A Border Policewoman was lightly wounded in the terror attack.
The police entered the Temple Mount following the attack and closed off all the entrances and exits to the compound in order to locate the terrorists, which led to violent Muslim riots.
In addition, violent riots broke out today in Hevron and Kfar Kaddour in the Qalqilya area, with Muslim terrorists burning tires and throwing rocks and firebombs at the security forces.
