Israeli fighter jets bomb 150 terror targets in response to more than 400 rockets fired from Gaza
After more than 400 rockets fired by Muslim terrorists from Gaza at Israeli civilians in southern Israel, IAF warplanes bombed over 150 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror targets on Monday overnight, including an intelligence compound, the studios of Hamas’s television station, a terror tunnel, a mosque and 4 compounds used by terror groups in Gaza.
The Israel Air Force struck a Hamas intelligence compound, which an IDF spokesperson said is located in the heart of the city next to a school, a mosque and diplomatic facilities.
The complex itself houses a kindergarten and a munitions warehouse and is used for intelligence gathering, research and development for terrorism purposes.
Hamas’ Public Security offices were also hit.
In addition, IAF warplanes bombed the studios of Hamas’s television station, which totally destroyed the premises in Gaza City and damaged nearby buildings.
Many local residents had fled after Israel phoned in calls to evacuate and launched at least five non-exploding missiles nearby as warnings, witnesses said.
More than 400 rockets have been fired by Muslim terrorists in Gaza at Israeli civilians in southern Israel, making today’s barrage the largest attack since 2014.
A 40-year-old man was killed when a rocket launched by Muslim terrorists from Gaza hit a residential building in the southern Israeli town Ashkelon Monday night. Two women in the same building are in critical condition.
In addition, a 40-year-old man suffered moderate injuries and nine others were lightly injured.
The fatality is an Arab man from Hevron, a resident of the Palestinian Authority, not an Israeli citizen.
A 19-year-old IDF soldier was seriously injured Monday afternoon after an anti-tank missile from Gaza struck a bus next to him. Doctors are working to stabilize his condition.
“God loves you”, the Israeli-Arab bus driver said while being treated for shock. “I just left 50 soldiers from the bus. A minute later the bus was hit. 60 seconds earlier and you would have had 50 dead soldiers”, he added.
The rockets launched from Gaza hit Israel in several locations, including in Sderot, where several people suffered light injuries from shrapnel, and in Netivot, where a family dog was killed in a direct hit. A total of 9 people were lightly wounded from shrapnel there.
