Israel to reopen Erez Crossing with Gaza tomorrow
Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman has instructed the IDF, the Shin Bet and the COGAT to reopen the Erez Crossing at the northern end of Gaza, starting Monday.
The decision was made in light of the ‘security quiet’ that was relatively maintained over the past week and the significant drop in terror attacks.
Earlier today, the IDF fired warning shots near a group of Muslim terrorists who were attempting to damage the security border fence with Gaza.
According to reports, the IDF is deploying forces to protect the Ashkelon beaches, including Zikim, for fear of a terror infiltration from Gaza and in preparation for the imminent collapse of the Egyptian talks.
