Israel strikes Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to rocket attack
BREAKING: Israeli fighter jets are bombing Hamas terror targets in Gaza after a rocket launch towards Ashkelon was identified and intercepted by the Iron Dome Missile Defense System.
According to Arab reports, an IDF aircraft bombed a Hamas training camp near Beit Lahiya.
Reports of IDF tank fire targeting Hamas positions east of Khan Younis.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit reported that IDF fighter planes and a combat helicopter attacked a number of terrorist targets in a training camp of the Hamas terror group in northern Gaza.
The attack was carried out in response to a rocket launch earlier in the night towards Israeli territory.
“The IDF considers the terrorist organization Hamas responsible for everything happening in and out the Gaza Strip. The IDF will continue to defend the citizens of the State of Israel and is determined to act against any terrorist act from the Gaza Strip”, the IDF said in a statement.
Following the strikes, Arab media reported and IDF incursion across the border, with four D9 bulldozers and three excavators entering the perimeter of the ‘Tiger Gate’, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
