Iraq: 17 rockets launched by Iranian proxy terrorists hit near base hosting US forces

BREAKING: A barrage of 17 Katyusha rockets landed near a military base hosting US forces in northern Iraq, causing no injuries or major material damage.

A security source said the rockets landed near the Qayyara military base.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

Hashd al-Sha’bi terror group, an Iranian proxy in Iraq, was behind previous Katyusha attacks in the area.

The Katyusha multiple rocket launcher is an inexpensive type of rocket artillery that can deliver explosives to a target quicker than conventional artillery but is less accurate.
