Iran: Several killed after unknown gunmen open fire during a military parade in Ahvaz
BREAKING: At least 24 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officers were killed, 30 others injured after unknown gunmen opened fire during a military parade in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz, state television reported.
“Several gunmen began shooting from behind the stand during the parade. There are several killed and injured,” a correspondent told state television.
The shooting lasted 10 minutes and it came from a park near the parade. Attackers were wearing military uniforms, according to reports.
Two gunmen were reportedly killed by the security forces, while two others are still at large.
The military parade was held in honor of the anniversary of the beginning of a war between Iran and Iraq.
