IDF uncovers sixth Hezbollah terror tunnel from Lebanon into Israel

BREAKING: IDF forces discovered a sixth Hezbollah cross-border terror tunnel dug by Muslim terrorists from southern Lebanon, in order to infiltrate into Israel and slaughter Jews in their homes.

According to the IDF, this is the last tunnel Hezbollah dug into Israeli territory.

There are still a number of routes on the Lebanese side of the border that the IDF will neutralize in the coming days.

“Anyone who approaches or lives near these routes in Lebanon is endangering their life,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.

The IDF launched “Operation Northern Shield” to expose and neutralize cross-border terror tunnels dug by Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror group.

The IDF is monitoring and holding a number of sites from which Hezbollah is digging underground infrastructures that have not yet crossed into Israel.

The operation deprived Hezbollah of a unique offensive capability it had built over the years as part of its plan to attack Israeli territory. The denial of ability undermined the ability of the terrorist organization to carry out its plans in the underground while improving the security situation in the northern arena and removing a threat from Israeli citizens.

Upon completion of the exposure and neutralization phase, the IDF will continue to operate a broad defense effort on the Lebanese border, integrating various means and technologies, and continuing the construction of the defensive barrier.

In addition, IDF forces and the subterranean detection laboratory will continue to operate regularly along the Lebanese border.

“The IDF is determined to carry out the task of protecting the citizens of Israel and will continue to operate in the area and to monitor possible activity in the underground.

The strength and strength of the residents of the Galilee helped to achieve the objectives of the operation and the IDF will continue to update them as necessary.

The IDF views the Lebanese government as responsible for everything that is happening in its territory and warns again against entering underground routes”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said
