IDF: Terror not ruled out but car-ramming in Samaria was most likely an accident

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said on Friday morning that an initial investigation by the IDF and the Shin Bet into the car-ramming on Thursday night in Samaria was most likely a car accident rather than a terror attack.

“That said, an investigation in another direction has not yet been ruled out,” a statement said.

The woman was hit as she crossed Route 60 near the Jewish community of Havat Gilad. A Muslim driving a cab with Palestinian Authority license plates run her over and fled the scene.

MDA paramedics tried to resuscitate the victim but were forced to declare her death.

The driver fled the scene but later turned himself into the Palestinian Authority police in Shechem.
