IDF tanks fire at 2 Hamas posts in response to riots and acts of terrorism along the Gaza border
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said on Friday that a number of Muslim terrorists threw a grenade at troops in northern Gaza. No IDF troops were injured. In response to the violent riots, IDF tanks struck two Hamas posts in northern Gaza.
IDF troops also identified an infiltration attempt into Israel. Terrorists infiltrated into Israel and fled back to Gaza.
Two Muslim terrorists, including a paramedic-terrorist, were shot and eliminated as the weekly acts of terrorism at the security border fence between Hamas-ruled Gaza and Israel, resumed Friday afternoon as every Friday after mosque.
Some 9,000 Hamas-sponsored terrorists have been rioting, throwing rocks, arson kites, firebombs, sabotaging the security border fence and attempting to infiltrate into Israel in order to murder Jews.
IDF troops responded with riot dispersal means and live fire in accordance with the rules of engagement.
According to Arab reports, 307 terrorists have been injured, at least 85 of them live bullets wounds. Five of them are in critical condition.
Israeli media reported that IDF reservists have been called up to reinforce the border, also adding that a large scale operation is possible in the works, even though other reports suggest that PM Netanyahu opposes all ideas on that.
Additional Iron Dome systems were deployed in Tel Aviv, Ashdod and other areas in central Israel.
