IDF reservist seriously wounded in car crash at entrance to Kiryat Arba
An IDF reservist was seriously injured overnight Monday while on duty in a car accident involving a military vehicle in Kiryat Arba.
The 28-year-old soldier was performing his reserve service as a member of the security team of the Jewish community of Kiryat Arba, in the Hevron Hills.
Authorities as yet unsure why the military vehicle containing the soldier flipped over at entrance to Kiryat Arba when a patrol was called there after receiving reports of a terrorist infiltration.
The soldier was evacuated as concerns remained that a Muslim terrorist may have infiltrated the perimeters.
According to the hospital, the reservist suffered head injuries which were described as serious.
