IDF raises level of alert – General closure imposed during Rosh Hashanah
⚠️ The IDF announces that there will be a general closure of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza beginning on Sunday night ahead of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year.
The closure, a routine counter-terrorism procedure during Israeli and Jewish holidays, is expected to last until midnight on Tuesday.
Palestinian Authority workers will not be allowed into Israel during the closure to prevent terror attacks during the holiday.
The passage from Judea and Samaria to other parts of Israel and from Gaza into Israel will only be permitted for humanitarian, medical and exceptional cases, subject to the approval of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.
