IDF officer injured by a grenade thrown by Muslim terrorists from Gaza during Friday riots
BREAKING: An IDF officer was moderately injured by a grenade that Muslim terrorists from Gaza threw at him during violent riots along the security fence.
Troops responded by firing towards the terrorists. A hit was identified. The officer was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva.
According to Arab reports, a 15-year-old Muslim terrorist was shot and eliminated east of Gaza City during the riots.
As every Friday after mosque, Muslim terrorists were rioting, burning tires, throwing rocks, launching firebomb-kites and balloons and attempting to infiltrate into Israel in order to murder Jews.
IDF troops responded with riot dispersal means and live fire in accordance with the rules of engagement.
During the violent riots, the forces thwarted an attempt to break through the security fence and infiltrate Israel from northern Gaza.
“Hamas terror group continues to send civilians to the security fence, endangering their lives by using them as a cover for terror acts.
The IDF will not allow security infrastructure to be damaged, and will operate to prevent violent rioters and terrorists from doing so”, the IDF said in a statement.
