IDF: “Keep away from fence” – Friday riots, late-night riots ahead of mass riots at Gaza border

The IDF prepares for “Land Day” mass riots and the first anniversary of the Friday riots after mosque along the Gaza border.

Commander of the IDF Coordination and Liaison Administration for the Gaza Strip, Col. Iyad Sarhan, addressed the residents of Gaza, calling them to “keep away from the border and not approach the fence”… “Demonstrate to your heart’s desire, but come no closer than 300 meters of the border”.

“The State of Israel is determined to continue to defend its citizens and will not tolerate rocket fire and terrorist acts,” he added. “Heed your safety.”

As every Friday after mosque,  Hamas-sponsored terrorists were rioting, burning tires, throwing rocks, launching firebombs, bombs, grenades and attempting to sabotage the security fence along the Gaza border in order to invade Israel and murder Jews.

The Hamas-ruled health ministry in Gaza said that only seven Muslim terrorists were shot and wounded during the violent riots.

Late-night riots began, with Muslim terrorists burning tires, throwing rocks, grenades, bombs, firebombs, fireworks at IDF troops and attempting to sabotage the fence in order to invade Israel and murder Jews.

Despite claims by Hamas that they have accepted Egyptian proposals for a ceasefire and are awaiting the Israeli response, riots along the border fence continue with high levels of violence tonight, while Hamas arranges transport from 38  locations in Gaza to all the riot points tomorrow.

The IDF says it is preparing for a variety of scenarios on Saturday, including those in which ground forces must enter Gaza.

Large riots expected tomorrow, raising the likelihood of bloodshed in the annual ‘Land Day’, referring to Israel ’s control of land in the Negev and Galilee in 1967, demolishing illegal Arab buildings and evacuating communities established illegally by Arab squatters.

In addition, violent riots broke out today in Judea and Samaria, with Muslim terrorists throwing rocks and firebombs at IDF troops in Hevron and near Ramallah.  The IDF force responded with crowd-dispersal means and live shooting at main instigators.
