IAF fighter jets strike Hamas terror targets in response to infiltration and terror at Gaza border
According to Arab reports, Israeli warplanes are bombing Hamas terror targets in southern Gaza in the Rafah area, in retaliation for the infiltration of four Muslim terrorists earlier today.
Arab media outlets reported the terror sites bombed belonged to the Izz a-Din al-Qassam military wing of Hamas terror group: Hashashin site in Khan Younis and Ein Gahlot site in Rafah. No injuries reported.
“The IDF takes the Hamas terror organization’s continued and daily attempts to harm security infrastructure in Israeli territory very seriously,” the spokesman said, adding that Hamas’ efforts present a threat to the residents’ and soldiers’ security.
“We are determined to continue our job of protecting Israeli citizens and ensuring their continued security.
“The Hamas terror organization is the only party responsible for what happens in Gaza and leaves Gaza, and it will bear the consequences of terror activities carried out from Gaza against Israel’s citizens and security.”
Saturday morning, IDF troops identified four Muslim terrorists who infiltrated Israel from southern Gaza and set a tire on fire.
IDF troops arrived at the scene and fired towards the terrorists, who fled back into Gaza.
No casualties were reported.
On Friday, an explosive device was thrown at IDF forces near the fence with northern Gaza, as the weekly Friday riots after mosque resumed once more. No one was hurt.
