IAF fighter jets strike 5 more Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to rockets fired into Israel overnight
The Israeli Air Force carried out a second round of airstrikes on Hamas terror targets in northern Gaza on Sunday morning in retaliation for several mortar shells fired at Israel overnight.
IAF fighter jets targeted five terror targets at a military compound belonging to the Hamas terror group’s naval force in northern Gaza.
This was an additional IDF strike carried out last night targeting terror sites belonging to the Hamas terror group, which is responsible for all events that transpire and emanate from Gaza- most notably the severe attacks it conducts against Israel and its civilians.
This strike was conducted in response to the rockets which were fired from Gaza into Israel last night, in addition to the acts of terror approved and led by the Hamas terror group throughout the weekend.
“The IDF views these ongoing attempts with great severity and is determined to fulfill its mission to protect and ensure the safety of Israeli civilians as needed”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.
IDF artillery shelled an observation post east of Gaza City shortly after the rocket attack.
Among the targets were two Hamas munition manufacturing and storage sites and a military compound.

One of the missile interceptors from the Iron Dome aerial defense system fell inside a home in northern Gaza and was dismantled by the Hamas Civil Defense.
