Fires broke out in Israel due to firebombs, IEDs launched by Muslim terrorists in Gaza
At least 5 fires broke out today in Israeli towns near the Gaza border, as a result of incendiary balloons launched by Muslim terrorists from Gaza.
Their goal? Torching Israeli fields, destroying wildlife, people’s food and livelihoods.
Multiple fire department units dealt with fires in Gabim, Beeri and Nir Am.
An incendiary balloon burned down five dunams of the Beeri Nature Reserve. One turtle was killed in the fire, and another one survived.
Police sappers were called to neutralize an explosive device attached to a balloon that landed in an Israeli town near the Gaza border.
⚠ Police warn Israelis not to touch burning kites, tires or balloons from Gaza.
Earlier today, a firebomb attached to a balloon landed in a construction site on Jerusalem’s Emek Refaim Street Wednesday morning.
Police sappers were called to the scene and secured the area.
According to data received from KKL, 11,920 dunams of farmland and woodland were set on fire by incendiary kites and balloons launched by Muslim terrorists from Gaza into Israel over the past six months, prompting an environmental disaster in the area.
The data was provided by KKL’s forest rangers in the western Negev area who have been on call during the past six months, arriving at the scene the minute they receive a report about a fire breaking out.
Hundreds of wild animals perished in the fires caused by the kite and balloon terrorism.
“The nature in the Gaza border communities has been severely damaged,” one of the firefighters in the area said.
During the past six months, firebombs attached to kites and balloons landed in Jerusalem, Gush Etzion, Beer Sheva, Modi’in and Samaria. Due to the distance, it is expected that the firebombs were launched not by Gazan terrorists, but by Muslim terrorists from the Palestinian Authority.
