Hamas terror group is responsible for preparing the car bomb that exploded in Cairo on Sunday night, which killed 20 people and injured 47 others, Israel’s Debka File reports.

The explosion happened when a car laden with explosives which had been traveling against the traffic hit three others.

Egypt’s Interior Ministry said a Muslim terrorist member of Hasm, a branch of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood terror group, was driving the car with the bomb late on Sunday down the Corniche, intending to carry out a terror attack elsewhere in the country when the crash set off the bomb and the explosion took place.

However, Debka File says that the investigation took a new turn, with Hamas terrorists suspected of being involved in the preparation of the car bomb, or at least in contact with Hasm terrorists.

Security officers began rounding up Hamas terrorists, including the high-ranking Sami Saleh, who was arrested yesterday upon arriving in Cairo from Turkey.
