PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah submits resignation to Abbas

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Rami Al-Hamdallah said on Tuesday he tendered his resignation and that of his unity government to chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who this month entered the 15th year of his four-year term.

The government would continue to carry out its duties until a new one was formed, said an official statement issued after a weekly cabinet meeting.

Hamdallah’s resignation came two days after the Fatah terror group recommended the formation of a government made up of representatives of factions in the PLO terror group and independent personalities, apparently in a bid to increase pressure on the Hamas terror group ruling over Gaza.
