General Salami: Iran’s strategy is to wipe Israel off the map of the world

The deputy commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Brigadier General Salami threatened Israel with destruction if it attacks Iran, state media reported.

General Salami said: “Our strategy is to wipe Israel off the political map of the world and it seems with its own mischief, Israel is getting closer to this outcome”,

The comments by General Salami came after an Israeli attack on Iranian weapons warehouses and other military targets in Syria last week – the latest in a series of strikes targeting Tehran’s military presence in Syria.

“We announce that if Israel takes any action to wage a war against us, it will definitely lead to its own elimination and the freeing of  occupied  [imaginary Palestinian] territories,” Salami said, quoted by state television.

Last week, the head of Iran’s air force has threatened his country is ‘impatient’ to fight Israel and ‘eliminate it from the Earth’.

Israel backed U.S. President Donald Trump’s move to back out of the 2015 international deal on Iran’s nuclear program and welcomed Washington’s reimposition of sanctions on the country.

Iran says its nuclear work is for peaceful purposes only.
