ISIS threatens to strike Washington in yet another new video

The Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group has released a new video in which it vows to strike Washington D.C., following Friday’s coordinated attacks in Paris.

In the clip, released by ISIS’s “Kirkuk Province” in Iraq, a man identified as “Al Ghareeb the Algerian” vows to attack the “crusader” United States in a similar fashion.

“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” he says.

Flanked by men holding assault rifles and with a pickup truck armed with a mounted heavy machine gun in the background, the terrorist also vowed further attacks in the heart of Europe.

“I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,” he warned.

Another terrorist – identified in the clip as an Iraqi national – rejects international attempts to broker a diplomatic solution to the Syrian civil war which has allowed the jihadist group to flourish, declaring: “We have decided to negotiate with you in the trenches and not in the hotels.”

It comes as French jets struck ISIS’s de-facto capital of Raqqa in Syria in retaliation for the Paris attacks.

The sorties destroyed a training camp and command post, according to the French foreign ministry.

Meanwhile in Europe, authorities are working to crack down on ISIS-linked terrorist cells in both France and Belgium. In the last several hours it was revealed that Belgian police nabbed a terrorist fugitive involved in the massacre in the French capital.

26-year-old Salah Abdeslam is the latest suspect connect to the attacks to be arrested. The alleged mastermind behind the attack was identified Monday as a Belgian named Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a senior ISIS terrorist who had planned a thwarted train attack in August.

French police arrested an additional 23 suspects, and seized several weapons, in numerous raids.
