Satellite images show damage at Iranian weapons warehouse after Israeli airstrikes in Syria
ImageSat released satellite images of an Iranian weapons warehouse destroyed in Syria, which correspond with the location of the Israeli airstrikes reported on Tuesday.
An Israeli security official on Wednesday confirmed responsibility for Tuesday’s airstrikes in Syria, saying the air force had hit a series of targets involved in Iranian arms transfers to the Hezbollah terror group.
The Israeli official said the air force had attacked several Iranian targets in three main locations. He said the targets were primarily storage and logistics facilities used by Iran to ship weapons to the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terror group.
The Israeli official said it was Syrian air defenses that endangered the civilian planes, by firing 30 missiles in response to the airstrike. He also claimed that Iranian forces are operating less than 80 kilometers (50 miles) from the Israeli border, contrary to Russian assurances.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity under standard Israeli security protocols. The IDF has not commented on the incident.

HAPPENING NOW – SYRIA: Initial airstrike of Israel Air Force's targeting Iranian, Hezbollah weapons storages was not successful. Air defense systems managed to shoot down some of the missiles. Following the plan, a 2nd round of strikes is now taking place by more F-16s escorted by F-35 interceptors. – https://wp.me/p9XqAk-per
