IDF forces fired at armed terrorists who infiltrated from Syria near Israel’s Golan

BREAKING: IDF troops spotted armed terrorists crossing the Alpha Line into Israel near the Syrian border fence in the Golan Heights.

In response, the IDF fired towards them. No injuries reported to the IDF troops.

“The IDF will continue to operate against violations of Israeli sovereignty and of the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.

According to the IDF, the terrorists approached the Israeli border but did not cross it. The IDF is working to assess whether they intended on crossing into Israel or fire toward it, or that they hadn’t noticed they were approaching the border.

In August, seven ISIS terrorists were eliminated in the Syrian Golan Heights. The terrorists came as close to 200 meters to the Israel-Syria border when Israeli troops eliminated them.

The IDF confirmed carrying out an air strike, saying it had targeted “several armed terror operatives in the southern Syrian Golan Heights”.

Explosive belts and an AK-47 rifle were found in the area.
