Face to face with the enemy: Lebanese soldiers draw weapons at IDF troops

IDF soldiers were setting up barbed wire in Israeli territory near the “blue line” border as part of “Operation Northern Shield” to expose and neutralize terror tunnels dug by Hezbollah, when armed Lebanese soldiers attempted to intimidate them.

UNIFIL soldiers arrived at the scene and mediated between the sides.

Yesterday, IDF forces discovered a fourth Hezbollah cross-border terror tunnel dug by Muslim terrorists from southern Lebanon, in order to infiltrate into Israel and slaughter Jews in their homes.

The IDF said that the tunnel does not pose an imminent threat and that the tunnel was booby-trapped, warning against anyone attempting to approach it.

“The Lebanese Government is held accountable for the attack tunnels dug from Lebanese territory,” the IDF said in a statement. “This is another blatant breach of UN Resolution 1701 and of Israeli sovereignty,” it added, referring to the UN resolution that ended the 2006 Second Lebanon War fought between Israel and Hezbollah.
