PM Netanyahu warns Hamas: “Terror will not go unanswered”, vows to regulate Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria
A state official said Prime Minister and Defence Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a message to Hamas following the Thursday morning shooting attack.
“We will act against you if you launch terror out of Judea and Samaria. There will be no ceasefire in Gaza while there is fire in Judea and Samaria,” Netanyahu said.
Israel is to authorize thousands of Jewish homes built in Judea and Samaria, some of them decades ago, PM Netanyahu said.
“Arranging the rights for the homes allows thousands of residents to be provided with infrastructure of public buildings, educational and religious buildings,” Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.
It did not give a specific number of homes but Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked tweeted that more than 2,000 Jewish homes would be getting permits.
Hundreds of people demonstrated in Jerusalem’s Paris Square to protest the deteriorating security situation.

The closure extends to and includes the city of Ramallah. The IDF expressed concern that the shooting could lead to copycat attacks and said it was exploring the possibility of a link between the shooting and Sunday’s terror attack near Ofra.
Following meetings with security officials, Netanyahu ordered the cordoning off of El-Birah, near Ramallah.
Netanyahu also ordered that any work permits held by family members of the terrorists, granting them entry to Israel, immediately be canceled.
Shortly after the terror attack, a Muslim terrorist was shot and eliminated after attempting to ram his car into IDF soldiers in the Arab town of El-Birah in Ramallah.
The forces were hunting for the Muslim terrorists behind the terror attack near Givat Assaf Junction.

According to Arab reports, the terrorist has been identified as 60-year-old Hamdan Tawfiq Arda.
Later on Thursday, IDF troops raided the Olympic Committee headquarters in El-Birah.
