ISIS terrorists in Sinai intercept Iranian Gaza-bound missiles shipment
ISIS terrorists in Sinai took control over a shipment of Iranian weapons intended for Hamas that included anti-tank Kornet missiles and missiles equipped with GPS technology, Arab media reported.
A security source in Cairo said that it was a large shipment whose entry into Gaza was prevented by ISIS Sinai leader, who recently cut ties with Hamas.
According to reports, the Egyptian army recently announced that Kornet missiles were found in ISIS warehouses in the Sinai Peninsula. The Egyptian Army took over the equipment.
Egypt has been struggling for years to contain terrorist activities in Sinai. Many military operations have been carried out by the army and police forces, eliminating hundreds of Muslim terrorists and building a buffer zone along the border with Gaza, so that Egyptian authorities can curb the flow of terrorists and weapons infiltrating through underground terror tunnels.
