Rockets fired from Gaza- Iron Dome activated
Incoming rocket sirens sounded in the Eshkol and Merhavim Regional Councils in southern Israel near the Gaza border on Wednesday evening.
The IDF said that the Iron Dome missile defense systems was activated and attempted to intercept a rocket fired from Gaza, but failed to do so.
Factions of all terror groups in Gaza abandoned their positions as Israeli warplanes entered the airspace in preparation for retaliatory strikes.
The Hamas-ruled Gaza interior ministry ordered all police officers to abandon their positions.
Earlier, at least 15 Muslim terrorists blew themselves up after an explosive device meant for IDF forces exploded prematurely near the border in the Rafah area of southern Gaza.
In response, the IDF fired at the terrorists, neutralizing more.
