‘Israel cannot avoid defeat’ Nasrallah says from his underground bunker
In a televised speech, from the safety of his underground bunker where he has been hiding from Israel since 2006, Nasrallah says that “the Israeli army has developed significantly, but it cannot avoid defeat.”
Speaking at a “victory rally” in honor of the defeat of “terrorist entities” in northern Lebanon, the leader of Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah said that “the Israeli leadership knows that it is difficult to recruit people to serve in combat units. They lack the willingness to sacrifice of past days. They lack the motivation to endanger themselves. More and more soldiers are seeking release (from service) on mental health grounds and the army is unable to recover from its sense of defeat.”
He also referred to the internal Lebanese situation and to what he called the United States’ support for the campaign inside Lebanon.
He said Washington intervened to prevent the Lebanese army from fighting the terrorist organizations. He said that whoever defeated ISIS in Syria was the one who fought against him and not the Americans.
“Every time ISIS was dying, American combat helicopters came to save him”, the terror group chief said.
