Muslim terrorist caught after infiltrating from Gaza into Israel – Liberman: If Gaza calm prevails, crossing will be reopened
BREAKING – Terror attack thwarted: A Muslim terrorist was caught and arrested near the security border fence with southern Gaza, after infiltrating into Israeli territory.
The terrorist was transferred to security forces for further questioning.
In addition, IDF troops opened fire at Muslim terrorists rioting on the Gaza border. No injuries reported.
Since morning, at least 20 arson balloons were launched from Gaza into Israel.
After a situation assessment, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said that if the calm on the Gaza border continues, the Kerem Shalom border crossing will be opened on Wednesday morning.
“If the quiet on the Gaza border that has prevailed since the beginning of the week is preserved until tomorrow morning, the Kerem Shalom crossing will be opened at 9am and the fishing zone will be expanded once again up to a distance of nine miles from the shore,” Liberman said at the conclusion of the meeting.
“The opening of the Kerem Shalom crossing, after three days of quiet, is intended to indicate to the population in Gaza that maintaining quiet is first and foremost an interest for Gaza’s residents,” he added.
