Terror in Canada: At least 4 killed after gunman goes on rampage in Fredericton
At least four people have been killed in a shooting in Fredericton, N.B., police have confirmed.
Two of the 4 people killed, were police officers, authorities say.
Police responded to the area of Brookside Drive between Main Street and Ring Road just after 7 a.m. local time.
Police say that despite a person being in custody, the incident is “ongoing” and have asked residents to avoid the area and stay inside their homes with the doors locked. No name or details on his ethnicity have been released.
An armoured police vehicle is at the scene and there are reports of terrified local residents being led away to safety.
Firefighters and paramedics have also been deployed to the scene.
A worker at a nearby coffee shop revealed staff had locked the doors so customers can’t get in or out amid the police activity outside.

ISIS claimed the terror attack saying that the Muslim terrorist “was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the attack in response to calls to target the citizens of the coalition countries.”
