Gaza rockets hit Sderot – Over 70 rockets fired at southern Israel as sirens continue to blare
A rocket launched from Gaza hit a house in Sderot. No injuries reported. Police bomb disposal experts at the scene.
Another rocket hit a factory building in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council . No injuries reported.
At least 70 rockets have been fired from Gaza so far Wednesday night.
The Iron Dome intercepted 11 rockets.
Residents of the Israeli cities near the Gaza border have been instructed to remain near bomb shelters as Code Red sirens blare throughout the evening.
Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon reported that MDA medics brought in eight people with light injuries and one man, 54, who sustained moderate injuries.
MDA reported that 17 people were injured, many of them were treated for shock as well as three pregnant women who began having labor contractions due to the stress.
Damage was caused to buildings, cars and sidewalks in direct rocket strikes on the city of Sderot.
