IDF stops vessel attempting to violate the naval blockade
An international flotilla of terrorism-sympathizers and Israel-haters bent on breaking Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza (meant to prevent weapons from being transferred into the hands of terrorists, including the ruling Hamas terror group), set out on July 21 from Italy.
The first vessel, ‘Al Awda’ (the return in Arabic) was intercepted on Sunday by the Israeli navy several kilometers from Gaza and towed to Ashdod port.
40 pro-Jihadists from 15 countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Malaysia, New Zealand / Aotearoa, Norway, Spain, Sweden, UK and the United States, are believed to be aboard the vessels.
Following the Al Awda is a Swedish-flagged yacht called Freedom Italy.
The third vessel dropped out of the flotilla due to an unspecified “problem.”
