USS Donald Cook –equipped with Tomahawks– deployed off the coast of Syria

President Donald Trump threatened a military strike against Syria and declared on Monday that Russia or any other nation found to share responsibility for Saturday’s chemical weapons attack on civilians will “pay a price.”
The US Navy Donald Cook has deployed off the coast of Syria, in possible preparations for missile strikes against the Assad regime.
The guided missile destroyer is armed with Tomahawk cruise missiles, the weapon of choice in a U.S. attack one year ago on an airfield in Syria following a sarin gas attack on civilians.
Multiple low-flying Russian jets reported in the area.
The United States “will respond” to a deadly chemical weapons attack in Syria regardless of whether the United Nations Security Council acts or not, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Monday.
