Sweden: Malmo rocked by ‘explosion’ –Bomb squad seal off apartment complex

Police have responded to reports of an explosion inside an apartment building in Malmo, Sweden.

The alarm was raised after a suspected explosion at 23.27pm local time, 22.27 (GMT).

This is the FOURTH bomb in just 2 days.

An ambulance was called after a woman experienced breathing difficulties at the scene, related to the incident.

Malmo Police said: ”On site, we have found damage to two apartment doors and a lift.”

The explosion is believed to have taken place in the stairwell of the apartment building.

Local police do not know the cause of the explosion and have called in the national bomb squad for advice.

Police said they were talking to witnesses and the incident is likely to be deemed an act of “gross public delinquency”.
