An Israeli stopped an arab terrorist trying to stab him near Beit Hadassah in Hevron by shooting and eliminating him on Saturday morning. The Israeli was unharmed.
Large IDF forces were deployed to the scene to search the nearby arab neighborhoods for other potential attackers.
The scene of the attack is a flash point of clashes between arab rioters and Israeli soldiers, due to the proximity of arab homes, market and school to Jewish homes.
The terrorist was identified as Mohammed Abdullah-Kawasma, 18 years old.
Meanwhile, a Jewish man who encountered a team of reservist Border Policemen in Jerusalem’s East Talpiot neighborhood (also known as Armon HaNetziv), told them he saw a suspicious man carrying a bag.
The fighters, who searched and found the suspect, approached him and asked for his identification.
As they were checking his documentation, the 16-year-old terrorist, East Jerusalem resident drew out a knife and tried to stab the Border Policemen, who responded quickly and shot him to death.
A woman terrorist stabbed a border policeman close to the border police base in Hevron. The border policeman sustained light injuries but managed to shoot the terrorist who was eliminated.
An IDF soldier was moderately wounded in a stabbing attack in Hevron, Judea – the FOURTH such attack on Saturday.
The attack took place at a security checkpoint. Security forces at the scene responded by shooting the terrorist, leaving him seriously wounded.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics provided treatment to the soldier and evacuated him to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.
The soldier was defined as suffering from moderate stab wounds to his upper body.
The incident marks the fourth stabbing attack of the day against Israelis and the third in Hevron.
Minutes after the attack, angry Jewish residents gathered to block the road, preventing the ambulance carrying the injured terrorist from leaving the scene. It worked, the terrorist died of his wounds.
FIFTH terror attack on Saturday – Qalandiya checkpoint
Security forces at Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem shot an Arab terrorist who attempted to attack soldiers with a large knife.
One Border Police officer was targeted in the attack, but the knife did not pierce his flak jacket, and the terrorist was shot.
A bomb squad specialist then arrived to inspect the terrorist’s body to ensure he was not strapped with an explosive, at which point the terrorist drew a second knife and tried to stab the bomb squad crew member.
Fortunately he did not manage to stab his intended victim, and was instead shot again and died of his wounds.
The terrorist was identified by Palestinian sources as Ayoub Shahada, a resident of Qalandiya who had previously been arrested for terrorism and then released. Two more knives were found on his body.
