Lieberman says Netanyahu’s behavior encourages more attacks

Chairmen of the Yisrael Beytenu party, MK Avigdor Lieberman, said Wednesday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “conduct encourages” continued terrorism and called for his resignation following a car ramming attack on three soldiers the previous day.

“If for no other reason why Netanyahu should resign, it should be for the scandalous policy of immediately returning the remains of terrorists to their families,” Lieberman said.

“While a soldier fights for his life in the hospital following a car-ramming attack” in Samaria, he added, “the body of a terrorist has been returned to his family and is received with cheers from hundreds.”

“Netanyahu’s behavior not only damages the public trust but seriously damages the deterrence of potential terror attacks” in the future.

Three soldiers from the Kfir Brigade were wounded, one seriously, in a car-ramming attack in the Binyamin region of Samaria on Tuesday evening when an Arab terrorist driver drove his vehicle into them while they were standing near a checkpoint between the Jewish communities of Dolev and Talmon.
