One Israeli wounded in Jerusalem stabbing
An Israeli victim was stabbed and moderately wounded by an Arab terrorist at the Lion’s Gate of the Old City in Jerusalem on Monday night.
His condition was classified as moderate by the MDA spokesperson, although earlier reports indicated he was seriously wounded.
The man is a 60 year old ultra- Orthodox yeshiva student. He has been evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. He is conscious and in stable condition.
According to the man, he was stabbed in an alley not far from the Old City gate, and ran to find security forces to help him.
The Arab terrorist fled the scene, but was captured some two hours later following an extensive search by police forces. The terrorist is said to be an 18-year-old Arab who admitted to carrying out the attack.
