German intelligence spying on Netanyahu’s office

The German Intelligence Service (BND) had allegedly been spying on the Prime Minister’s Office, among other government ministries, German weekly magazine Der Spiegel reported on Saturday.

According to the German paper, the BND had also spied on the interior ministries of Austria and Belgium, as well as the UK Defense Ministry. They also reportedly spied on the US State Department, as well as departments within NASA and the US Air Force.

This is not the first time the German spy agency has been outed for espionage activities.

In August 2014, the BND tapped phone calls made by US Secretary of State John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, Der Spiegel reported at the time.

The report claimed that BND tapped a satellite phone conversation made by Kerry in 2013 as well as a call between former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and former UN secretary general Kofi Annan.
