Tourist Wounded in Rock-Throwing Attack in Jerusalem

A 69-year-old tourist was lightly wounded by rocks thrown at her by Arab terrorists near Jerusalem’s Lions’ Gate.

According to the police, the rocks were thrown from roofs in the Muslim Quarter at a group of tourists visiting St Anne’s Church.

A 69-year-old female tourist from Japan was lightly wounded in the terror attack, suffering wounds in her upper body. She was treated at the scene and transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.

“I am visiting Israel with a Japanese group of people who love Israel. I was extremely surprised by the incident and in that moment I prayed and didn’t understand what it was that was hurting me,” the victim said.

She added that “I am still happy that I came to Israel and I don’t regret it. I will continue to tour and will rejoin the group shortly after I have been treated in Hadassah.”

Police forces are scouring the area in search of suspects.
