Indiana Jewish Cemetery Vandalized

A number of headstones were toppled at a Jewish cemetery in Indiana.

Many of the headstones were damaged as the vandalism was discovered Monday afternoon at the Fort Wayne Jewish Cemetery by volunteer workers.

Several of the granite headstones were reported to have been very large and that it would have taken at least three people to knock the stones over.

Dan Zweig, whose grandfather was among the founders of the cemetery, and who has been involved with the cemetery association, says that the cemetery, in the 25 years that he has been apart of the association, has never been vandalized.

The cemetery is guarded by a high fence and a locked gate.
