German police evacuate 2 train stations in Munich, warn of imminent terror threat
Police in Munich have evacuated two rail stations and urged the public to stay away from large crowds, amid an ‘imminent’ terror threat, according to reports.
A police spokesman said was ‘serious current information’ of a New Year’s Eve terror alert in the city and the surrounding area. The public has been warned to stay away from crowds as well as two stations.
A statement read: “We have concrete evidence that we can not sweep under the carpet. Based on information available and rated by us as serious information it is this night to come to a stop.
Both the main city station and Pasing have been evacuated and all trains have been stopped.
